Sunderland Care Home Stage Glitzy Summer Prom

With schools and colleges breaking up for summer, we are once again in the height of prom season – and to show there are no age limits to having fun, the people of Lansbury Court Care Home near Sunderland had their very own glittering prom celebration last week.

The people who live at Lansbury Court were keen to get dressed up in their finest gowns and sharp suits and take to the dancefloor to the sounds of local singer Alex Hall – who took them on a journey through the hits of yesteryear.

Lansbury Court naturally went all out for their residents’ big night, with care colleagues on hand to assist with hair and makeup so everyone felt like a million dollars!

They also rustled up a mouthwatering buffet of finger foods, mocktails and more to ensure partygoers had plenty to enjoy through the evening.

The music flowed on into the evening keeping the dance floor buzzing with energy. They swayed and twirled, reliving the joy of past dances and creating new memories with friends.
