Summit Care Group Announces Acquisition of Herncliffe Nursing Home

Care provider, Summit Care Group, has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of Herncliffe Nursing Home located in Keighley, West Yorkshire.

Established in 2024, Summit Care Group provides nursing, residential, palliative, end of life, bariatrics, mental health and dementia care across the North and North West of England.

Offering residential, dementia and nursing care for 115 residents, Herncliffe Nursing Home has been under the ownership of P&B Kennedy Holdings for over 45 years and boasts an impressive reputation for its family-led approach to care.

Having established an outstanding reputation within the local community, Herncliffe is underpinned by a team of 130 care and ancillary professionals who take pride in delivering an excellent service.

In acquiring Herncliffe, Summit Care Group will now work with the home’s existing team to maintain its high standards while ensuring its longevity as a leading nursing home within the West Yorkshire region.

Discussing the acquisition, John Kennedy, Director of P & B Kennedy Holdings Limited, said: “It was a very difficult decision to sell after 45 years, but we felt the time was right to retire and are pleased we have secured a sale to a company we believe will carry on the high standards that have made Herncliffe the home it is today.
