Success For Belong At 3rd Sector Care Awards

SuccessCare village operator, Belong, continues its winning streak in the awards season after its success in the Innovative Quality Outcomes category at the annual 3rd Sector Care Awards.

The award, which celebrates the use of innovation to achieve life-changing results, has recognised the not-for-profit organisation for its advanced approach to helping its customers stay active and healthy. In particular, Belong has been acknowledged for its specialist, personalised exercise programmes and the implementation of state-of-the-art SilverFit equipment, which uses gaming and virtual reality to engage older people in exercise for longer.

In many cases, these measures have transformed the lives of Belong customers, improving mobility, strength, stamina and balance. One resident, Mary Britcliffe, 85, now walk without her mobility scooter and walking aids thanks to a three month gym programme at the village.

Belong Deputy Chief Executive, Tracy Paine, said: “it is a privilege to have won this prestigious award. Innovation is a key pillar of Belong’s approach to achieving the highest quality of care across all our villages, and so to be recognised for this is extremely rewarding.”
