South American Surprise For Merthyr Tydfil Care Home

Residents of The Daffodils Care Home in Merthyr Tydfil had some surprise visitors when two South American cyclists called in to give an impromptu circus performance.

The two gentlemen from Argentina, who were embarking on a cycling tour of the UK, turned out to be rather handy at juggling and entertained the Residents for a good while before joining them to refuel with tea and cake and heading on their way.

HC-One’s The Daffodils Home Manager, Dawn Crandon, said: “We were sat outside with the Residents when the two cyclists stopped to say hello. They were very friendly and wanted to show us all their circus skills.

“We love meeting new people here at The Daffodils, so it was great to hear about their cycling adventure around the UK – the juggling was a surprising bonus, but we all thoroughly enjoyed it!”

The Daffodils is a purpose-built care home offering residential and dementia care to elderly ladies and gentlemen. Residents are encouraged to engage in community activities and have full use of all the home’s facilities including an attractive garden, conservatory and treatment room.
