Social Care Charity Shortlisted For ‘Charity Of The Year’

CICINational social care charity, Community Integrated Care, has been shortlisted for the prestigious ‘Charity of the Year’ accolade at the widely respected Charity Times Awards, recognising the charity’s exceptional employees and the world-class support they deliver to those with care needs.

The event is hosted by Charity Times, the charity sector’s leading magazine and will take place later this year, on October 2nd, in London.

The award ceremony celebrates and promotes best practice in the charity and not-for-profit sector in the UK, and this year the event is celebrating its special 20th anniversary. Community Integrated Care, one of Britain’s biggest and most successful health and social care charities, is up against five other high-profile names.

The charity supports over 3500 people across England and Scotland who have learning disabilities, mental health concerns, autism and dementia, employing over 6500 colleagues nationally.

Community Integrated Care’s partnership with the UK’s leading reminiscence charity, Age Exchange, has also been recognised at the event, with the merger between the two charities being nominated for ‘Change Project of the Year’. The nomination celebrates the start of an exciting and ambitious new chapter between both organisations.

Mark Adams, CEO of Community Integrated Care, says, “To be shortlisted for two categories is a huge honour for both Community Integrated Care and Age Exchange. The nominations celebrate our journey so far with our new strategy, ‘We Dare’, and the success of our merger with Age Exchange.”

He continued, “Being shortlisted for two such prestigious awards really is a testament to our entire organisation, and the hard-work, commitment and dedication of our teams working across the UK.”
