Runwood Homes Thanks Staff With Morale Boosting Incentive

Runwood Homes teams, across 73 care homes in England and N.I, have been gifted, by Directors, a token of thanks for a second time since the beginning of the pandemic, for their continued hard work and dedication throughout the last eighteen months. Totalling £650,000, this gesture of appreciation demonstrates Runwood Homes continued gratitude for the relentless efforts shown by employees throughout this challenging period.

Each employee has received an online shopping gift voucher to treat themselves to something they would really like or need, after doing such an incredible job, in continuing to treat others so admirably, and remaining courageous and resilient.

The gesture has been well received by all, and the senior management team at Runwood Homes are so grateful for their fantastic staff and acknowledge the challenging time that care workers are facing. Runwood Homes strives to continuously ensure that staff feel valued in their critical work to care for some of the most vulnerable people in our society.

Every single care staff member will qualify for the incentive, who have been working at the company for at least two months. The donation from the organisation is part of Runwood Homes continuing efforts to shine a light on the importance their front-line employees are playing, as the company actively encourage and demonstrate their gratitude to staff with a mixture of morale boosting incentives.

Runwood Homes employ over 5,000 care and support staff, also launched an Employee Assistance Programme with Health Assured and the My Healthy Advantage, to support staff and their immediate family members through any issues they may face.

This extra support and guidance tool is completely confidential and app features include; logging health and wellbeing, a live chat feature to seek advice, set and track goals, articles inspired to feel and be well, and is completely personalised. This employee assistance programme also gives employees access to resources, a professional advice team, wellness courses and therapy sessions.

Runwood Homes CEO, Gordon Saunders, commented; ‘I am so proud of our staff who have worked relentlessly throughout this difficult period. Their dedication and selfless hard work is an inspiration to all and incredible to witness first-hand. Care staff are driven by a sense of duty and care, but I strongly feel it is important to acknowledge their efforts with something tangible, however small, to say a big thank you.’
