Rosedale Residents Enjoy VIP Experience at West Ham’s London Stadium

Residents from Rosedale Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, enjoyed an unforgettable VIP tour of the iconic West Ham United / Olympic Stadium on 2 December 2025.

The visit was filled with excitement from the moment residents set off, kicking off the journey with “bubbles on the bus” to get into the West Ham spirit. During the guided tour, residents retraced the steps of professional footballers, walking through the players’ tunnel, stepping out onto the pitch, exploring the dressing rooms, sitting in the manager’s seat, and visiting the VIP bar once attended by the late Queen.

The group also enjoyed viewing Olympic memorabilia, receiving a West Ham match programme, and rounding off the day with tea and coffee at the West Ham shop.

Residents shared their joy throughout the experience:

Joining Louise, Lifestyle Coordinator at Rosedale Court, on the trip were Carers Abilash and Wendy, with support from Mark Phillips, U21 West Ham Coach, who helped connect the home with London Stadium Tours.

Louise explained the importance of the experience: “With sport and football being very close to many of our residents, it’s important to try and fulfil dreams. Organizing a trip to a place that is known all over the world, for both the Olympics and West Ham FC proves that you’re never too old to enjoy it. It also brings back lots of happy memories for residents.”
