Residents At Melbourn Care Home Visit Fire Station

Residents at Melbourn Springs care home in Melbourn recently visited their local Fire Station for a guided tour.

Joined by the activities team from Melbourn Springs, residents were taken to the Royston Fire Station where they were taken around the station and shown all of the equipment that is used before being treated to a special light show from one of the fire engines.

After the tour they sat down with the firefighters for tea and cake and had the opportunity to ask any questions that they had. There was time for a final photo in front of the fire engine before they headed back to Melbourn Springs

General Manger at Magda Ulian care home, said: “One of the things that our residents have told us that they would like to do is visit the fire station so we are so happy that Royston Fire Station were able to let us visit them. The residents had an amazing time and cannot wait to go back again.”
