Remembrance Sunday Poppy For Greater Manchester Home

HC-One’s Ashton View care home in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Greater Manchester, counted themselves lucky enough to be selected by a community worker to lay a ‘Lest We Forget’ poppy tile at the home, to mark Remembrance Sunday.

UniPlay, who created the poppy, have been supplying badges all around the borough from poppies to the now-famous ‘stay safe’ rainbow logos for the NHS that we see on the roads throughout the UK.

Jamie Duncan-Noke, Stacey Sharples and Emma Leigh, all Colleagues at Ashton View, were delighted to be selected. The poppy installation at Ashton View really is a fitting tribute to remember the price veterans paid.

The tile is now proudly displayed outdoors, much to Colleagues and Residents’ delight. They even had some cupcakes to mark the occasion.

Jamie, Home Manager, commented, “We are so incredibly thankful, what a wonderful addition to our home.”
