Radcliffe Care Home Sees Success as Part of Government-backed Pilot Scheme
HC-One’s Rose Court Care Home in Radcliffe, Manchester, has received high praise for its role as part of a successful Government-backed pilot scheme in the newly published Teaching Care Home Impact Report.
In recognition of its status as one of the best care homes in the country, Rose Court was one of a select group of services chosen to take part in the Teaching Care Home scheme, led by Care England and funded by the Department for Health. The pilot scheme aimed to improve the learning environment for care home staff, develop new undergraduate nurse apprenticeships and encourage nurses to join learning placements in care homes.
The Teaching Care Home Impact Report was launched at a Parliamentary reception in the House of Lords, hosted by Baroness Greengross. Karen Davies, Minu Mathew and Terry Elms, all members of the staff team at Rose Court, were presented with a trophy in recognition of their hard work and commitment to making the project a success.
The report highlighted how the pilot had helped staff at Rose Court to increase knowledge, skills and confidence in using reflective practice to improve their work, as well as increased confidence in their ability to carry out their work.
HC-One’s participation in the Teaching Care Home scheme underlines their commitment to innovation in training, staff development and providing the kindest care with the most professional workforce. The pilot built upon HC-One’s existing industry-leading training scheme, developing pioneering initiatives to ensure nurses have the right skills to support Residents in a care home environment.
HC-One currently has the highest compliance rating of all independent residential care home providers. HC-One is also celebrating achieving a 9.4/10 average rating on the sector’s leading care home comparison website carehome.co.uk. The high rating demonstrates HC-One is one of the best companies in the care home sector as rated by service users.
