Outstanding’ CQC Rating For Greenside Court Complex Needs Care Home Secures
Greenside Court, an Exemplar Health Care complex needs care home in Rotherham, has achieved an ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) placing it in the top five per cent of all nursing homes in England.
Greenside Court received the care regulator’s highest rating for its ‘exceptionally’ caring, responsive and well-led service.
“People were treated with the utmost respect and their dignity was continually upheld. This was confirmed by people and their relatives who provided exceptional feedback,” the CQC reported.
The CQC report added that staff were “highly skilled and attuned to people’s needs and demonstrated their passion and drive towards ensuring people reached their potential.”
The CQC, a public body of the UK Department of Health and Social Care, awards ratings on a four-point scale: Outstanding, Good, Requires Improvement, or Inadequate.
Out of the 4,373 nursing care homes in England, 209 are rated Outstanding by the CQC.
Kim Payne, Greenside Court’s Home Manager, said: “It’s fantastic that our care home has achieved the Outstanding CQC rating – everyone is absolutely overwhelmed.
“Over the years, our care team have demonstrated their commitment and dedication to offering high-quality care for service users and it’s fantastic that they were able to demonstrate this during the inspection.
“We are now looking forward to celebrating this amazing achievement together. I could not be more proud of each and every colleague who works here.”
