Nottinghamshire Home Welcomes Community In And Raises Over £1000 During Summer Fayre

A Nottinghamshire home welcomed in the local community during their summer fayre and managed to raise over £1000.

MHA The Herons set up their summer fayre and had more than 75 people come and support them.

There was plenty happening with a cake, jewellery and book stall as well as children’s games and the usual tombola and raffle.

The total amount raised was £1061.54 which will go towards the homes amenities fund, from which activities and trips for the residents will be arranged.

Claire Belshaw, administration manager said:
“The summer fayre was very successful and we’re very proud of our efforts and the support shown to us.

“It was a great day, we had people from all ages coming in and it was a real team effort.

“The weather was just right, to raise over £1000 in just a few hours is very impressive.

“The residents had a great time, we had a lot of family members here so it was perfect for them.

“The funds will go into our amenities fund, which will be put towards various activities and help us to continue with our residents living later life well.

“I want to thank everyone who played their part in making sure our summer fayre was what it was and look forward to seeing everyone again next time.”
