North London Care Home Raises Funds For Children In Need
A recent charity fundraiser at Minchenden Lodge care home in Southgate raised £100 for Children in Need. As well as a raffle and cup-cake sale, money was raised through staff donating £1 each for a non-uniform day, and everyone got into the spirit of the event by wearing a Pudsey T-shirt or anything white or yellow to support the cause.
Singer John Sessions, who frequently provides entertainment at Minchenden Lodge, got everyone up dancing and residents’ friends and families joined in the fun.
BBC Children in Need is the BBC’s UK charity for disadvantaged children and young people in the UK. Between 1980 and 2023 it raised over £1 billion for them.
Activities Co-ordinator at Minchenden Lodge AnnHartley Said:
“We had such a great day and are always delighted to raise money for a good cause. John can be relied upon to get the party started and keep everyone singing and dancing.”
