New Care Development In Mawdesley, Lancashire Welcomes First Residents

Following the successful completion of the new development at the old Mawdesley Eating House site, Stocks Hall Living is a wonderfully designed home built over 2 floors with a beautiful reception and communal areas and gardens.  Created to meet the demand for high-specification living accommodation, the build includes 42 nursing/residential care beds, and 13 luxury apartments that can be privately bought.

The first residents have now moved into the home which retains exclusive facilities as well as enjoying being part of the picturesque village community in Mawdesley.

Two residents are David Clews and Janet Clews, who moved from home.  Moving into Stocks Hall Mawdesley wasn’t an easy decision for David and his wife, Janet.  They were attracted to the development as it meant David and Janet had 24-hour help on hand and the interaction with staff on a day to day basis.

David said “I have now been able to spend quality time with my wife Janet which wasn’t always possible at home.”

David added “All the rooms are so spacious and modern. The staff here are very helpful and co-operative – it’s making a big difference to our lives. The attention to detail is second to none, Stocks Hall Living is just wonderful.”

A cinema, hairdressing salon and manicured gardens are all part of Stocks Hall, Mawdesley Living experience, providing residents with entertainment and other amenities in this enviable location.The home’s ambience will promote independence, well-being and dignity to all those choosing to live at this contemporary accommodation.

A team of staff including nurses, carers and support staff are on hand 24 hours a day, overseen by Nursing Home and Independent Living Manager, Faye Wilkinson.

The building project has taken two years and plans are underway for stage two of the development which will compliment the existing facilities. The final stage of the Stocks Hall Mawdesley Care Development will include another nine luxury apartments, a leisure centre with swimming pool, a small gymnasium, a café and spa facilities.

Invitations have gone out to the local community inviting them to the Grand Opening on Friday 22nd January 2015 when potential residents will also have the chance to look round and meet the staff.
