New £5.8m Care Home Coming to Knowsley Will Create Over 100 Jobs

Specialist care provider, Exemplar Health Care, has begun on-site construction for its new £5.8M specialist care home refurbishment in Knowsley, Merseyside.

Fernwood, will be Exemplar Health Care’s seventh care home in the Liverpool region, and will specialise in supporting 28 adults living with dementia, acquired brain injuries, complex mental health needs and physical disabilities, across two units.

The home is set to open at the end of 2023 and will be situated on Knowsley Lane, Liverpool. Each of the 28 bedrooms will come with an en-suite wet room, and the building will feature high quality, spacious communal spaces, sensory and therapy rooms and landscaped gardens, for residents and visitors to enjoy.

North-East based contractor, Walter Thompson, has been appointed to develop the existing building, located on Knowsley Lane.
