Connect-2-Care-Raises-Vital-Funds-For-Dementia-FriendsEmployees of Connect 2 Care (C2C) helped raise £3635 for Dementia Friends during their recent annual conference in Birmingham.

The funds were raised through a raffle which was supported by C2C employees, along with staff from the company’s sister organisations, Work Ready People and HIT Training.

“It was an honour to attend the conference and we are delighted with the amount raised by C2C, Work Ready People and HIT Training employees,” says Ann-Marie Snelson, Regional Support Officer for Dementia Friends. “We’d like to thank everyone who supported us to raise much needed funds for this vital service.”

An initiative of the Alzheimer’s Society, Dementia Friends works to increase peoples’ understanding of dementia and the small things that could make a difference to people living with dementia. By 2015, Dementia Friends hopes that a million people will know how to help people with dementia feel understood and included in the community.

“We are delighted to have been able to support such a worthy cause,” said Sara Goldie, Operations Director at C2C, which offers a wide range of professionally recognised care skills, training and development opportunities
