Nantwich Care Home Appoints New Experienced Manager

Akari Care has appointed experienced healthcare professional, Michelle Fairhurst, as the new Manager of Church House care home in Nantwich, Cheshire.

Michelle, who is from Macclesfield, has gained extensive experience in a range of care settings, including care homes, hospitals and a prison in various positions, such as a Senior Staff Nurse and a Support Manager.

She joins Akari Care from Barchester Healthcare, where she held the position of Senior Nurse.

Based on Coole Lane in Austerson, Church House care home provides nursing care for up to 44 elderly residents.

The home has recently undergone a full refurbishment as part of Akari Care’s £15 million investment programme in its homes. All communal spaces and bedrooms have been redecorated, including new curtains, carpets, furniture and soft furnishings to make the areas more comfortable and relaxing for residents.

Michelle (32) said: “I am delighted to be joining Akari Care and will apply the wide-ranging experience that I have gained in my career so far to my new position at Church House.

“There is a great team of carers and nurses at Church House care home and our priority is to provide the best quality care for residents and I will ensure that this is sustained.

“It is such a rewarding role and the residents and staff have made me feel most welcome. I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and for the challenges and the fulfillment that will come with the position.”
