Mossdale Residence Residents, Families and Staff Bake up a Storm in York Bake-Off

Residents, relatives and colleagues at Mossdale Residence Care Home in Burnholme, York, put their baking skills to the test in a special bake-off competition judged by the Lord Mayor of York.

The care home brought residents, families, friends and colleagues together for a fun-filled baking competition celebrating creativity, community and the talents of those at Mossdale Residence.

The competition was judged by The Lord Mayor of York, Councillor Margaret Wells, her Consort Trevor Gant, the Sheriff of York, and HC-One Area Director Hazel Southern, who had the difficult task of choosing their favourite entries.

After sampling the delicious creations, the winners were announced:

• First place: Lynn Franks, Senior Care Assistant
• Second place: Phil Tinwaro, Cook
• Third place: Lynn Franks, Senior Care Assistant
• Fourth place: Sue Freer, family member

The event was organised by Mossdale Residence Wellbeing Coordinators Pauline Hagan and Julie Infield, who were delighted to see so many residents, families, friends and colleagues get involved.
