MHA Bags Silver Award for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Progress

Methodist Homes (MHA) has achieved the Silver Standard Award in the Onvero (formerly Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion) 2026 Tide awards.

The award follows MHA’s participation in external benchmarking exercises, assessing our progress in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI).

MHA’s submission was audited in June 2026 to confirm our maturity score at 82% (a rise from 65% the previous year).

The external assessment reviewed a range of areas including leadership commitment, workforce diversity, inclusive culture, colleague engagement, governance, policies, learning and development, and the impact these areas have on our people.

This recognition represents a significant milestone in MHA’s ongoing journey to create a workplace and service environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive.

The award also reflects the dedication, commitment, and collective efforts of our colleagues, volunteers, trustees, and executive leadership team who continue to champion inclusion in everything MHA does.

Mpazi Siame, equality diversity and inclusion manager said: “While we are incredibly proud of receiving this award, we recognise that EDI is an ongoing journey rather than a destination.

“The external benchmarking exercise has provided valuable feedback and identified opportunities for further development, and we remain committed to building on this success.

“Our ambition is to become sector leaders in EDI by 2028, and this is a positive step in the right direction.”
