Meadway Court Residents Get Creative

Residents at Borough Care’s Meadway Court home for older people in Bramhall have been getting creative. Residents have enjoyed trying their hand at painting, as part of the regular programme of activities that takes place at Meadway Court.

Megan Lachevre, Home Manager at Meadway Court, says: “Creativity can have enormous therapeutic benefits for older people so we provide lots of opportunities for our residents to try out different creative activities. Being happily engaged in a satisfying activity can help reduce agitation and anxiety, which is especially important at the moment with everything people are having to deal with during the pandemic. Lots of our residents love letting their imagination run wild by participating in painting, drawing or craft activities.”

At Borough Care’s homes, residents are encouraged to continue to live life in colour and carry on leading an active social life, if they wish. To enable them to do this, a regular programme of different activities, to suit all tastes, is organised at each of the company’s eleven homes across Stockport.
