Mayor Of The West Midlands Andy Street Visits Sunrise Of Edgbaston

Sunrise of Edgbaston, which provides high quality, personalised assisted living and dementia care, was visited by The Mayor of the West Midlands, Andy Street on Wednesday 11 February.

The care home invited local business leaders and representatives from local schools to join their residents for a Q&A with Andy Street that was focused on local issues, these included care, transport, homelessness and education.

Andy listened attentively to resident’s questions and also explained in-depth his proposed transport plans for Metro and Rail in the West Midlands.

Residents at Sunrise of Edgbaston loved having the opportunity to engage with Andy Street on local issues that matter to them, and it provided a great chance for the residents to feel more involved in local politics and issues, and Andy recognised the importance of engaging with older people in the community.
