Magnolia Court Launches Parkinson’s Pals NW2 Community Support Café

Magnolia Court Care Home in Child’s Hill, Hampstead, is delighted to announce the launch of Parkinson’s Pals NW2, a new monthly community café organised and hosted by Barchester Healthcare’s Magnolia Court Care Home, with the support of Parkinson’s UK.

The café will take place on the fourth Thursday of every month, from 2:30pm to 4:00pm, providing a friendly and welcoming environment for people living with Parkinson’s, their families, friends and carers to come together, share experiences and make new connections.

Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition that can affect movement, sleep, mood and many aspects of everyday life. Its impact can extend beyond those diagnosed with the condition to their families and the people who care for them.

Parkinson’s Pals NW2 aims to provide a relaxed and supportive space where people can meet others who understand some of the challenges they may face. Whether sharing experiences, exchanging practical advice or simply enjoying a friendly conversation, the café offers an opportunity to build friendships and reduce feelings of isolation.

The café is organised and hosted by Magnolia Court Care Home, with the support of Parkinson’s UK. A range of Parkinson’s UK information materials and literature will be available for attendees to take away, offering useful guidance on living with the condition, understanding its symptoms and accessing further support.

Wayne Hughes, Senior General Manager at Magnolia Court, commented: “We are absolutely delighted to be launching Parkinson’s Pals NW2 at Magnolia Court, with the support of Parkinson’s UK.

“We know that living with Parkinson’s can bring many challenges, not only for the person diagnosed but also for their family and carers. Having somewhere to meet others who understand those experiences can make such a difference.

“Our aim is to create a warm, welcoming environment where people feel comfortable coming together, sharing their stories and building friendships. The information and resources available from Parkinson’s UK will also provide valuable guidance for anyone looking to learn more about the condition and the support available.

“At Magnolia Court, we are passionate about being part of our local community, and we hope Parkinson’s Pals NW2 will become a regular and much-valued meeting place for people across the area.”
