Macklin Care Homes Celebrate Award Success

The Macklin Care Homes group which operates six care homes across Northern Ireland are celebrating their achievements at the Staff Nursing Care Awards 2018 held recently at Titanic, Belfast.

The group picked up five trophies on the evening and were awarded highly commended in a further five categories at the awards designed to recognise individuals and teams who have demonstrated outstanding innovation and clinical excellence in their work across Northern Ireland.

Arlington Care Home based on Belfast’s Ormeau Road won registered nurse of the year, ancillary worker of the year and highly commended for nursing home of the year.

Park Manor Care Home in Dunmurry won home manager of the year and were highly commended in inspirational achievement in dementia related activities and alternative therapies, healthcare assistant of the year and two staff were recognised for senior healthcare assistant of the year.

Nursing Home of the Year went to Milesian Manor, also part of the Macklin Group portfolio, which is set to move into new state of the art premises next month in Magherafelt, designed as the first lifestyle care home in the Northern Ireland.  The company were also selected for the investment in training award for their on-going commitment to personal development.
