Local Care Home Hosts Charity Brunch

Parley Place care home hosted a Professionals charity brunch to support and raise funds for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation. This hugely successful event provided delicious bacon rolls, pastries and fruit platters as well as an assortment of teas and coffees for anyone who wanted to attend and show their support. Alongside the brunch was the chance to help add to our mileage with our sponsored cycle – relatives, staff and professionals all joined in with our efforts to add to our miles!

On the day we welcomed in a team of Barchester staff who were doing an epic cycle ride over 4 days from Exeter to Purley covering 278 miles. Stopping off for a refreshment break here at Parley on day 2 the riders chatted to our professionals and residents about their gruelling challenge and were spurred on by support from the team here.

Tracey Aldin, General Manager at Parley Place, said: “We are delighted to organise this charity brunch and provide a networking opportunities for local businesses. We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who attended and donated to this worthy cause.”
The aim of the day was to raise money for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation which supports older people and other adults living with a disability or mental health problems by helping them to connect or re-connect with others in their local communities.
