Life At The Island-Care Trip To Leeds Castle

Residents at the Island residential care home recently made the most of the sun with a trip out to Leeds Castle in Kent. Leeds Castle, known as ‘The Loveliest Castle In The World’ was originally a Norman Stronghold and a really wonderful day out for our residents.

The trip to Leeds Castle was accompanied by some great weather and residents enjoyed a tour inside followed by a relaxing day exploring the castle’s 500 acres of grounds.

Care Assistant Jeanne, who accompanied the residents on the trip commented:

“Today was a very worthwhile trip out to Leeds Castle and it was particlarly lovely for those who enjoy walking around the grounds which are magnificent.

Our residents all commented to me personally on what a lovely day they had and said it would be a very hard day to beat, with some even wishing they could move in!”

Manager, Anthony, commented:

“We are blessed with such lovely surroundings that we do our best to make the most of them. This trip out was the highlight of the summer for many of our residents and we also had perfect weather for it.

Leeds Castle is a beautiful place and was chosen by popular demand. Residents have been talking about the trip for quite a while after it so it has clearly been very much enjoyed!”
