Janmashtami Celebrations Bring Joy and Unity at Karuna Manor Care Home
Karuna Manor Care Home celebrated the vibrant festival of Janmashtami on 26th August 2024 with immense enthusiasm and community spirit!
The festival, which marks the birth of Lord Krishna, was a joyous occasion for residents, their families, staff, and members of the local community who came together to partake in the festivities.
The celebrations began with a serene prayer service held in the home’s beautiful temple. Residents, along with their relatives and guests, gathered to offer prayers and sing devotional hymns in honour of Lord Krishna.
The temple atmosphere was filled with peace and devotion, as the chants created a spiritual ambiance that resonated with all present. For many residents, this spiritual start to the day was a cherished moment of connection and reflection.
Following the prayers, the festivities moved to the garden, where the much-anticipated Matki Fod event took place. Residents, staff, and local community members eagerly watched as young participants attempted to break the traditional pot, symbolizing the mischievous and playful spirit of Lord Krishna.
The event was filled with laughter and excitement, as the crowd cheered for each enthusiastic attempt. After the Matki Fod, the energy remained high as everyone enjoyed a lively folk-dance performance, with both staff and residents joining in to celebrate the occasion with joyous music and movement.
