Iris Care Group Continues Growth with Elysium Cymru Ltd Acquisition

Iris Care Group has acquired Elysium Cymru Ltd, adding two supported living services in Newport, South Wales, to its portfolio.

The deal brings The Grove and Kensington Place under Iris Care Group’s ownership. Elysium Cymru, founded in 2008, has provided specialist supported living and residential care for adults with complex needs.

The acquisition extends Iris Care Group’s network to 63 services across the UK, spanning specialist hospitals, supported living, residential care, nursing services and a special educational needs college. The group has grown steadily in recent years through a combination of acquisitions and new service development.

Dr Andy Jones, Chief Executive Officer at Iris Care Group, said the deal reflected the company’s ongoing expansion strategy: “This acquisition of Elysium Cymru Ltd represents another step in the continued growth of Iris Care Group. It further demonstrates our strategic drive to build and deliver exceptional services, with strong reputations, for adults with complex needs. We remain committed to investing in our services, facilities and dedicated teams to ensure we continue to provide care that supports individuals to live independent and meaningful lives.”

Amanda Omeara and Jayne Edwards, who founded Elysium Cymru, said they were confident the transition would benefit staff and residents: “We are delighted that Elysium Cymru Ltd has been acquired by Iris Care Group. We believe the organisation shares our ethos, values and are well placed to take the services forward with continued development of staff and tenants across both services.”
