Hull Care Home Scoops Home of The Year Award

Specialised care home Elm Tree Court, part of the HICA Group, has beaten off the competition to win the coveted Care Home of the Year at the recent Hull Health and Care Awards 2019.

The care home, based on Preston Road in Hull, received no less than seven nominations by way of healthcare professionals and family members, noting the manager, Adam Ward, sets a “calm and caring atmosphere whilst also expecting a high standards”.

It was also noted that the regular excursions, carried out by the home’s specialist Activity Coordinators enhance the quality of life for the residents. They were also commended for including staff and family members in the activities within the home.

Home Manager Adam said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be the winners, it is such an achievement for everybody at the home. We aim to do our very best in all aspects of the care home and we are all very proud of the standards we have achieved. We are delighted that our commitment to provide the best possible care has been recognised.”
