Hop to It, Local Care Home Residents Host Easter Egg Hunt
Staff and residents at Barchester’s Southgate Beaumont care home have been having fantastic fun hiding Easter Egg’s all around their beautiful garden in Southgate for local children to find.
The staff and residents decided to challenge local children from St Andrew’s Southgate Primary School to find Easter Eggs hiding in all kinds of different places in their gardens. After the hunt the Year 1 children sat in the sunshine listening to stories read to them by residents at Southgate Beaumont and enjoyed scrummy cupcakes baked by head chef Daniel and his team.
General Manager, Beatrice Godfrey said: “We’ve all had such fun first of all hiding the eggs and then watching the children find them. Our residents have had a wonderful time reading to them and counting up all the egg’s to see who had collected the most eggs. Of course, all the children were winners in our eyes!”
Daphne Moorey a resident said: “I loved taking part in the Easter egg hunt, it was such a lovely idea and we were so happy to be able to spend time with the children. I think the children all had a great time too!”
