Highgate Care Homes Expands to 40 Homes with Major 15-home Acquisition
Highgate Care Homes has expanded its presence across the North of England with the acquisition of 15 care homes from Maria Mallaband Care Group (MMCG).
The acquisition represents a major milestone in Highgate Care Homes’ continued growth, increasing its portfolio from 25 to 40 care homes and welcoming 705 residents and 996 team members into the Highgate family.
The 15 homes are located across Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Yorkshire and the North East, substantially extending Highgate’s geographical reach and strengthening its position as a significant provider of residential, nursing and dementia care across the North of England.
The expansion builds on Highgate Care Homes’ established portfolio and reflects the organisation’s long-term commitment to investing in high-quality care services and creating welcoming homes where residents are supported to live with dignity, choice and independence.
Highgate will work closely with the teams at each of the 15 homes as they become part of the wider organisation, with a focus on ensuring continuity for residents, relatives and team members while building on the experience and expertise already present within each home.
Joanne Fogg, Managing Director of Highgate Care Homes, said: “This is an incredibly significant and exciting milestone for Highgate Care Homes. Growing from 25 to 40 homes is an important step in our journey, but what matters most to us are the people behind those numbers.
“We are delighted to welcome 705 residents and 996 team members across these 15 homes into the Highgate family. Each home has its own identity, community and experienced team, and our priority will be to support them while building on the good work already taking place.
“At Highgate Care Homes, ‘Kindness is Key’. It is at the heart of how we care for our residents, how we support our team members and how we work with families and communities. As we grow, we are absolutely committed to retaining that focus and ensuring every person living and working within a Highgate home feels valued, respected and supported.
“This acquisition gives us an exciting opportunity to bring our approach to care to more communities across the North of England, while continuing to invest in our homes, our people and the quality of care we provide.”
