Hayes Care Home Awarded Work Experience Employer Of The Year By Uxbridge College

Kingsley Court care home, based in Hayes, Middlesex, has been presented with a ‘Work Experience Employer of the Year’ award from Uxbridge College.

The award was presented as part of the college’s annual awards ceremony to celebrate ‘stand out students’, as well as employers that closely support students with placements, apprenticeships and career opportunities.

The awards were presented by multi-award winning entrepreneur and author Junior Ogunyemi to star students and apprentices who had made outstanding progress or gone beyond the call of duty for their communities.

They were joined by employers who work with the college to provide work placements or on-the-job training for apprentices in 25 sectors, who were also recognised for their support.

The award was presented to Kingsley Court as it had shown the greatest continued and ongoing commitment to the training and development of students, through the provision of opportunities and support whilst undertaking work experience.

Shiny Mathappan, manager of Kingsley Court, said, “We are absolutely delighted to receive the award from Uxbridge College.  We take great pride in supporting students with a wide range of work experience opportunities.

“Over 1,000 employers support the college with placements and training, and so for the students and mentors to provide such positive feedback on Kingsley Court, which led us towards winning this award, is something our whole team is very proud of.”
