Over 250 people are invited to attend the Care Sector Fundraising Ball at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Saturday 29th September.
The special event organised by Hallmark Care Homes’ Chair and Chair of Care England Avnish Goyal will feature a silent auction and a live auction hosted by a surprise celebrity guest.
Throughout the evening, guests can also enjoy a four-course meal and entertainment from professional singer Christie Prentice, party band Madhen and comedy troupe The Noise Next Door.
Speakers at the event will include Director of Alzheimer’s Research UK Tim Parry and CEO of The Care Workers Charity Alex Ramamurthy, who will speak about the critical work they do and the impact these charities have had.
Avnish Goyal said: “We are incredibly excited to be hosting the first dedicated charity event for the care sector.
“The fun-filled event will also be a fabulous networking opportunity for all, as well as an opportunity to support the great work of Alzheimer’s Research UK and The Care Workers Charity so that they can continue to fuel life-changing dementia research and provide financial support to care workers who have fallen on hard times.”
Director at Alzheimer’s Research UK, Tim Parry, said: “We’re so excited to be part of this flagship event and are incredibly grateful to Hallmark Care Homes for supporting Alzheimer’s Research UK. With no treatments to slow, stop or prevent dementia, it is our greatest medical challenge and the devastation it causes can be felt in every care home in the UK. That’s why we must invest in dementia research, so we can discover more effective treatments that will drastically transform the lives of people living with the condition, along with their loved one and carers. Thanks to the support of Hallmark Care Homes and this event, we will make the breakthroughs we need.”
CEO of The Care Workers Charity Alex Ramamurthy said: “We are incredibly grateful to Hallmark Care Homes for taking on this challenge and organising the Fundraising Ball. Any support for the Ball will allow us to help more care workers across the UK who find themselves in a crisis and need support.
“As a nation, we depend on care workers to be there for us on our rainy day. Through donations and support, we can continue to be there for them on their rainy day.”
