Greenbanks Hosts Vibrant Diwali Dance Festival of Light Party
Greenbanks care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, hosted an unforgettable Diwali Dance Festival of Light Party, bringing together local dancers, residents, and staff for an evening of vibrant celebrations and cultural exchange on the 30th of October.
The highlight of the event was a special performance by the local “Indradadanush Kids” dance group, who wowed the crowd with their dynamic dance moves, music, and energy. The children performed traditional dances and songs, sharing the joyous spirit of Diwali with the Greenbanks team and residents. The lively performance had everyone, young and old, up on their feet dancing along and joining in the festive atmosphere.
As a token of appreciation, the residents presented the children with certificates of thanks for their participation and for spreading the Diwali cheer. The evening was further enhanced with delicious Indian snacks, providing a delightful culinary experience for all to enjoy.
“The children loved coming to dance for Greenbanks, and they loved telling our residents a little bit about the background of Diwali,” said Nemo, Lifestyle Coordinator at Greenbanks. “It was heartwarming to see the community come together, celebrate, and share in the joy of the festival.”
