Graysford Hall Care Home Joins Hands With Baby Basics To Support Local Families In Need

Graysford Hall care home in Leicester recently collaborated with local charity organization, Baby Basics to make a meaningful impact on the lives of struggling parents and children in need.

Baby Basics is a volunteer-led project aiming to support new mothers and families who are struggling to meet the financial and practical burden of looking after a new baby. They provide essential support, including equipment, food, toiletries, clothing for babies, and a selection of items for small children, including books.

Supported by Church of The Martyrs, the home conducted a collection drive for baby items, which saw enthusiastic participation from both team members and visitors. The generous contributions included baby clothing, toiletries and monetary donations.

The driving force behind this initiative was Rachell Pallatt, Graysford Hall’s Head Chef, who took the lead in organizing the collection after hearing about the organisation through her local church.

She said: “The team and family members have supported to be able to buy 3 brand new Moses baskets this month, and there have been so many donations of clothes that it will help so many children in need; it’s amazing. The generosity of our Graysford Hall community is truly heartwarming, and I’m immensely proud to be part of an organization that cares so deeply about our local community.”
