Goole Care Home Residents Enjoy Magical Hull City Stadium Tour
Residents at HC-One’s Windsor Court Care Home in Goole, East Yorkshire, were treated to an unforgettable day out thanks to Hull City Football Club, who welcomed them for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the MKM Stadium.
Several residents at Windsor Court have been lifelong Hull City supporters, with memories stretching from the days at Boothferry Park to triumphant moments at Wembley. In a celebration of their passion and lifelong dedication to the Tigers, HC-One’s Windsor Court Care Home’s Wellbeing Coordinator, Eleanor Martin, reached out to Hull City to arrange a special visit.
The club generously opened its doors to the residents and their families, offering a comprehensive tour of the stadium, including a look inside the players’ changing rooms, the training gym, and even a chance to sit in the manager’s dugout and imagine taking charge on match day.
HC-One’s Windsor Court Care Home’s Wellbeing Coordinator, Eleanor Martin, said: “Our residents were absolutely thrilled. To visit the places where their favourite players prepare for games and to share that experience with their families was truly magical. Hull City went above and beyond to make the day special, we can’t thank them enough.
“We remain committed to providing enriching experiences that celebrate the individuality and passions of our residents. This visit is one of many initiatives that reflect the home’s dedication to wellbeing, community engagement, and meaningful activity.”
The visit not only celebrated the residents’ long-standing support for Hull City but also created new cherished memories for both residents and their families alike.
