Experienced Care Leader Appointed Manager at Parklands Care Home in Southport
A highly experienced nurse and care sector leader has been appointed as manager of Parklands care home in Southport, part of Sandstone Care Group.
Sarah-Jane Gashi is a Registered General Nurse (RGN) and brings more than 35 years of experience across health and social care services to the role.
Her extensive clinical and leadership background spans the NHS, community nursing, elderly care, and senior operational management within the care sector.
Sarah-Jane previously worked within the NHS at Aintree University Hospital, including experience in the Medical Assessment Unit (MAU), and also worked within community-based district nursing services. Her broad clinical expertise has provided her with a strong foundation in delivering high-quality, person-centred care across complex healthcare environments.
Since becoming a home manager in 2019, Sarah-Jane has successfully led nursing and residential care services with a strong focus on quality improvement, governance, compliance, and team development.
She has significant experience commissioning services, including a nursing home in Wigan, and has built a reputation for driving service improvements and supporting teams to deliver high standards of care.
In addition to home management, she also brings valuable experience at regional management level, supporting multiple services with operational oversight, compliance, workforce development, and quality assurance.
