Exemplar’s GOT Talent: Exemplar Health Care Residents Gather For 2025 Talent Show

On the 17th of December, Exemplar Health Care celebrated the talents of its residents and colleagues with the return of Exemplar’s Got Talent, a talent show ran across Exemplar Health Care’s 60 care homes to champion creativity, confidence, and inclusion within its services.

The competition saw several homes host their own regional talent shows, with performances ranging from singing and dancing to drumming with an exercise ball. Residents could opt to perform alone, in groups, or team up with colleagues at their home, and even submit a performance via video for those unable to travel.

Each regional show saw its share of laughter, joy, and emotional moments, with one of the regional judges and Head of Nursing at Exemplar Health Care, Lianne Ford, commenting:

“I was blown away by the level of effort that had gone into preparing for the show and the energy that people had in their performances. ‘Disco’ Dave’s performance of Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds brought me and the other judges to tears, earning him a very well-deserved place in the final!”

Each regional winner was then invited to take part in a live grand final held at Rotherham United’s AESSEAL New York Stadium on 17th December. The event brought together finalists from across the country for a celebratory showcase, judged by Regional Ambassadors from Exemplar Health Care’s Service User Council, alongside senior team members.

Following a closely fought final, Rae from Meadowcroft care home in Sutton In Ashfield was crowned the overall winner of Exemplar’s Got Talent 2025, impressing judges with her singing, with the judges describing her as having “the voice of an angel”. ‘Disco’ Dave from Greenside Court in Rotherham took home second place.

Exemplar’s Got Talent Winner, Rae, said:
“I had so much fun taking part in Exemplar’s Got Talent. Everyone was so supportive, and it felt really brilliant to be part of something that brings people together and celebrates what we can do.”

Every entrant across the regions received a certificate to recognise their efforts, with finalists receiving a gift hamper of their choice, and the two top winners taking home trophies and gift vouchers for their homes.

Rachel Calladine, Judge of Exemplar’s Got Talent and Business Development Director at Exemplar Health Care, commented:
“Exemplar’s Got Talent is a great opportunity for people to express themselves, build confidence, and feel genuinely celebrated. The creativity and passion on display this year was incredible, and it was brilliant to see residents having fun, taking centre stage, and enjoying every moment.”
