Eden Futures Scoop ‘Care Team’ Award At Great British Care Awards

The team at Eden Futures Veryan service have won a ‘Care Team’ award at the regional West Midlands Great British Care Awards for their extraordinary commitment to service users.

The Veryan team were praised for their ability to remain calm and professional when service users needs or health changed, as well as for ensuring that their life was fun and full of opportunities.

Hosted at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham, the Great British Care Awards celebrate excellence across the care sector and pay tribute to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.

Konstantin Petrov, Eden Futures Area Manager Central West, commented: “I’m delighted that my team have been recognised for their hard work and dedication. Every time a person visits the service, there are only smiles and laughter from every corner of the house – that is both staff and service users.

“Everyone that has stepped foot within Veryan has always said that they feel welcome. It is our mission as a team to ensure that this high quality level of service and inviting atmosphere continues.”

Veryan is a service housing individuals with profound physical and learning disabilities. Service users have daily access to a variety of activities in their home and in the wider community and are always engaged in things that they have chosen to do, regardless of perception of achievability.

The win means that the Eden Futures team will now be attending the finals of the national Great British Care awards in March at the ICC in Birmingham.
