Eastham Care Home Resident Harry Soars to Success with Record-Breaking Wing Walk for Charity

Residents, staff and supporters at Eastham Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, are celebrating an extraordinary achievement after resident Harry successfully completed his much-anticipated wing walk on Saturday in support of Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund, while also making history as the oldest person ever to complete the challenge.

After months of dedicated preparation, Harry took to the skies to complete the thrilling feat, cheered on by supporters including representatives from the charity, his physiotherapist Reef, and members of the Eastham Care Home team, who have supported him every step of the way.

Harry’s incredible determination and courage have inspired everyone involved, and his record-breaking accomplishment has already helped raise more than £7,600 for Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund, with donations continuing to come in.

The fundraising effort was inspired by Harry’s desire to make a meaningful difference to children and families supported by the charity. His achievement is a testament to perseverance, resilience, and the power of community support.
