Digital Care Hub Launches its First Photo Competition for Adult Social Care
Digital Care Hub has launched its first photo competition, inviting people across adult social care to share images of digital care in action.
Entries close at 5pm on Friday 4 September. Shortlisted photographs will be exhibited at Digital Care Summit London on 23 September, where the winners will be announced.
The competition is looking for images that show how technology supports people drawing on care, carers, care workers and care providers.
Michelle Corrigan, Chief Executive of Digital Care Hub, said: “Stories are at the heart of care. A powerful image can capture warmth, dignity, innovation and human connection in a way that words sometimes cannot. This competition is about giving people a creative way to show the brilliant work happening every day.”
Who can enter
Sponsored by digital care company, Nourish, the competition is open to people drawing on care, carers, care workers and care providers. Technology and digital suppliers cannot enter, but can encourage others to take part.
What the competition is looking for
Entries could show technology supporting independence, safety, wellbeing, communication, staff confidence, new ways of working or safer use of data.
Everyone identifiable in a photograph must have given informed consent, and entrants must submit a completed consent form.
Entries will be judged by Digital Care Hub, sponsor Nourish, and media partner Care Management Matters.
Prizes and exhibition
Shortlisted photographs will be exhibited at the Summit. Winners will receive:
- First prize: a half-day professional photo shoot and a print of your entry.
- Second prize: £150 in photography-related vouchers of your choice, and a print of your entry.
- Third prize: £75 in photography-related vouchers of your choice, and a print of your entry.
The exhibition will showcase creativity, compassion and innovation across adult social care.
