Derby Care Home Put’s Up Spooky Halloween Trees

Residents and Colleagues at HC One’s Aspen Court care home have been getting into the Halloween spirit.

The Derby care home decided to decorate the home with Halloween Trees this year.

Residents and staff took part in deciding how to decorate the trees, which are having a makeover before they get used at Christmas time!

There are a total of four Halloween trees in the home and they are all decorated differently. Everyone thought the originality of the idea was brilliant.

Staff and residents are amazed that no one had ever thought to decorate these trees before, everyone thinks they look wonderful!

One of the Residents said “they look amazing, it saves the tree from being stuck up the loft for 11 months of the year.”

The residents and Sue Williams, the homes wellbeing co-ordinator, have made trick or treat bags with sweets in for each staff member.

Residents were all getting in the mood for Halloween, wanting to get into the spirit of the season by getting dressed up, planning a Halloween party and looking through the DVD’s for scary movies.
