Danforth Care Opens First Care Home in Suffolk
Danforth Care Home opened its doors to the public for the first time earlier this month and Harbour Manor was opened officially by Town Mayor of Felixstowe, councillor Seamus Bennett with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The opening has created 60 jobs for the area.
The new home is situated in Felixstowe, in Suffolk, a twenty-minute drive from central Ipswich. It has great travel connections for staff and resident’s families, with the A12 easily accessed for ease of travel from Northwest Suffolk.
The Suffolk care home has been purpose built by LNT and contains 66 ensuite rooms. These are all available for one inclusive fee with 24-hour care and a personalised activity programme, as well as restaurant quality food cooked by the onsite chef team every day. The site also contains an on-site cinema, salon, café and library.
The Home Manager Magda Kurdziel has a Care Quality Commission (CQC) rating of outstanding, a testament to their commitment to maintaining the highest standard, leadership and exceptional care.
Magda says: “It’s a pleasure to be opening Harbour Manor care home officially to the public. The whole team are so excited to get started building a wonderful community here in Felixstowe, and providing a beautiful and safe place for vulnerable adults to live.”
