Children Thank Care Home For Help Save School Swimming Pool

Joanna Brown, Headteacher at St Mary’s C of E School Pulborough and some of her pupils visited The Anchorage care home in Pulborough to say thank you for the donation of a thousand pounds which was to help with the school’s swimming pool repair.

As Joanna told the Directors and residents, “It is so important for the children to be able to swim and be confident in water as here in Pulborough we are surrounded by water; the river Arun is a very fast-flowing river and we also have the sea very close by, so safety is of paramount importance”.

The delightful pupils sang a couple of songs from their latest show Aladdin. They also participated in a quiz session. The residents love the interaction with the school and really appreciate all the work that the staff and pupils put into entertaining them, especially at Christmas.
