Century + One Celebrations For Local Care Home Resident

Celebrations have been in full swing at Southgate Beaumont Care Home as one of its residents passes her centenary in style.

Marjorie Taylor was joined by staff, relatives, friends and other residents as she received lots of cards and well wishes for her landmark birthday of 101. A vintage tea party was held at the home and guests enjoyed a special birthday cake made by the home’s chef Mohammed Arshad.

Marjorie moved to Southgate Beaumont just a month ago, where she is enjoying a new chapter of her life.

The birthday girl, said: She celebrated her birthday in the best way “with a huge slice of cake and a lovely cup of tea” “My cake was so beautiful I didn’t want to cut it, but I am glad I did it was jolly nice”
