Centenarian Celebrates Birthday With Mayor And Mayoress

100-YEAR-OLD Lilian Beardsmore celebrated her birthday with the Mayor and Mayoress of Halton.

Fellow residents of Halton View Care Home, where Lilian lives, as well as friends and staff also joined the centenarian on her big day.

Mayor Alan Lowe and Mayoress Joan Lowe personally delivered Lilian’s telegram from the queen as part of their visit.

A singer, birthday cake and decorations all helped her celebrate the milestone.

Amanda Kelly, home manager at Halton View Care Home, on Sadler Street, Widnes said: “Lilian has been with us for just over four years and lives on our specialist dementia suite.

“She had a lovely birthday and everyone enjoyed celebrating it with her.

“We’d like to thank the Mayor and Mayoress for visiting and sharing in Lilian’s special day.”
