CQC-logoFollowing completion and the CQC inspection, St Ives Country House Care opened its doors on Friday 27th January, prior to the admission of residents. Care South welcomed neighbours and the local community of St Ives to its newest development, St Ives Country House Care, near Ringwood.

St Ives House is a new residential care home set in an attractive and tranquil sylvan location in St Ives, close to the bustling market town of Ringwood. The home provides a warm and caring environment for individuals with nursing, residential and dementia care needs. Professionally trained staff offer high quality nursing care for all levels of need – from short term respite, to high dependency and palliative care, as well as dementia care – supporting residents in a person centered and caring environment.

The home offers 60-bedrooms with ensuite facilities a number of bright and spacious lounges, themed sitting areas and secure outside spaces providing everything needed to make it feel homely and comfortable.

St Ives Place, which is adjacent to the main home, offers 14 apartments specifically designed for those living independently with care and support available as required and 4 cottages named Thyme, Rosemary, Juniper and Lavender all in a charming sylvan setting.

Care South is looking forward to hosting three further open days from 10am – 4pm on Monday 30th January, 10am – 4pm on Wednesday 1st February and 2pm – 4pm on Saturday 4th February. St Ives Country House Care will officially open on Monday 6th February and is excited to welcome its first residents to the development.

Susan Willoughby, Chief Executive at Care South, said: “It was a pleasure to welcome neighbours and members of the local community here today to thank them for their patience during the build of St Ives Country House Care. It has been such an exciting day for Home Manager Amanda Holden and her staff as it is the culmination of a lot of careful planning and hard work. We would like to thank everyone who has helped us create this beautiful new development in St Ives, near Ringwood.

“The ‘extra’ features in the home, such as the themed lounges for residents with dementia, the bistro, hairdressing salon and bright and airy communal spaces give life to the home and create a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere for our residents and their families. We are looking forward to welcoming new residents and their friends and family to the home in the upcoming open days, which will be a fantastic opportunity to get a taste of life at St Ives Country House Care.”
