Care Organisations Invited to Skills for Care Roadshows in North East and Yorkshire and the Humber

Adult social care organisations in and around the North East and Yorkshire and the Humber are invited to Skills for Care’s interactive roadshows.

The roadshows will take place in York on Tuesday 26 September, followed closely by Durham on Friday 6 October. A full list of locations and dates can be found here.

These roadshows provide valuable insight into the sector’s latest thinking and the resources on offer to support adult social care employers to deliver high quality care.

The roadshows are aimed at all employer organisations in the adult social care sector, including micro/small/large employers, community, voluntary and faith organisations delivering social care, user-led organisations, local authorities, social enterprises and community investment companies involved in social care. They are not appropriate for learning providers.

Sally Gretton, Head of Area for Yorkshire and Humber/North East, said: “These roadshows are a great opportunity for social care employers to meet and interact with their peers, share ideas and best practice. They can find out how Skills for Care can support them, particularly in today’s challenging environment where we know information sharing and networking is absolutely key.

“Employers can also discuss the latest developments in the sector, discuss how to support their workforce’s learning and development needs and how to make a real difference to people in our communities that are supported by their organisations.”

Skills for Care supports the sector’s employers to develop the skills and knowledge of their workers, from day one of service right through to senior leadership roles. They provide practical tools and support to help adult social care organisations in England recruit, develop and lead their workforce.

Employers can book a place now by visiting www.skillsforcare.org.uk/events.
