Care Inspectorate Praises St Martin’s Court Care Home

InspectorateStaff and residents at St Martin’s Court care home in Morriston, Swansea felt really proud after receiving high praise from the Welsh Care Inspectorate following their recent inspection.

The Care Inspectorate’s report commended the staff at St Martin’s Court for their work ethic, noting the “clear leadership” present in the home and that staff had an “understanding” and “caring” attitude.

Care staff were praised for the relationships they had built with residents, with the report referencing moments where they observed plenty of “friendly banter and laughter”. Staff were able to tell the Care Inspectorate the different likes and dislikes of each resident with no hesitation.

The Care Inspectorate’s report also highlighted the “comfortable and homely” environment at St Martin’s Court. There were a range of activities on offer for residents and everyone was “encouraged and supported” to take part if they wished to do so. With wellbeing co-ordinators on site to provide extra assistance and encouragement, there is never a dull moment for St Martin’s Court residents.
