Care Home Welcomes Fire Fighting Heroes
Residents, relatives and colleagues at the Chater Lodge Care Home in Ketton were delighted to open their doors and welcome our brave heroes from the Stamford Fire Brigade into our home for ‘Coffee with a Firefighter’.
Our residents and visitors were delighted to be able to meet, greet and thank the town’s brave firefighters as they joined us for a well-deserved cuppa and a selection of delicious snacks.
The highlight of the day came when our residents were invited to have a close up look at the Fire Engine and to see up close the equipment used by the fire personnel and how it used in the life saving work carried out by the brigade.
Zoe Postgate, General Manager of Chater Lodge has extended an invitation throughout the local area, stating that “to say thank you to our brave fire crew for all of the great work and to all of our emergency services, who do so much for us, we here at Newton House are inviting all members of the police, ambulance and fire services to pop in and take their duty break on us for free.
“We are pleased to offer all of our local service workers who stop in tea, coffee, juice, chilled water, delicious homemade cake and biscuits and a healthy selection of fruit, available free of charge. Our comfortable facilities include free Wi-Fi and service with a smile; do stop in and say hi, we would be delighted to see you!”
