Care England 2016 Conference: The Countdown Begins

Care_England_Logo_colour(CMYK)-AWThe Care England 2016 conference & exhibition, ‘Mind Matters’, is only a few weeks away and care providers should act now to secure a delegate place.  The conference which is taking place on Wednesday 16 November at the Church House Conference Centre in London, will explore the issue of mental health for all care services, whether it’s older people with dementia or specialist services such as adults with learning disabilities or acquired brain injuries.

This year’s keynote speaker is Baroness Finlay of Llandaff, an Independent Crossbench member of the House of Lords who will share her specialist expertise on the implementation of DoLS and the Mental Capacity Act.  She will be followed on the podium by Rt Hon Norman Lamb, Shadow Liberal Democrat Spokesperson for Health, who will consider the role of care services in positive mental health. The final two presentations in the morning’s plenary session will showcase the experience and expertise of Care England members Peter Kinsey, Chief Executive, Care Management Group, and Dominique Kent, Director of Operations, The Good Care Group.

The afternoon programme will feature a series of seminars and workshops from many of the leading sector product and service suppliers exhibiting at the event.

Professor Martin Green, Care England Chief Executive, says:

“Not just Care England members, but all care providers supporting adults with mental health issues are encouraged to attend this conference. Delegates will receive the high level Westminster overview from two distinguished Parliamentary speakers and benefit from the practical, hands-on experience of our own Care England members. Prompt action is recommended to secure your delegate place”.
